Our logistics company is seeking a reliable Material Handler for our Cincinnati, Ohio warehouse. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our facility, involving the movement and management of materials throughout the warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, unloading, stocking, picking, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. We provide comprehensive training, including proper techniques for manual material handling and the correct use of required PPE. The role involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and moving of items weighing up to 60 lbs. Experience with pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment is advantageous. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming materials and verify against packing slips.
- Transport materials to and from designated warehouse areas.
- Stock inventory in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Pick and prepare materials for internal transfers or external shipments.
- Operate manual equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Report any damaged materials or safety concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
