About
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As a Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of Safety . This leadership role is critical to managing staff, optimizing workflow, and maintaining inventory accuracy within our Logistics hub. You will foster a positive work environment, drive performance, and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are conducted in compliance with company Safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to maintain accuracy.
- Coordinate with carriers and manage shipping schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, enforcing housekeeping standards.
- Implement and enforce the use of appropriate PPE for all warehouse personnel.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, discrepancies, and employee concerns.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on warehouse performance to management.
- Optimize resource allocation and workflow to maximize productivity.
- Ensure adherence to all Logistics best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics , or a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and Logistics .
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and experience implementing safety programs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be able to enforce and ensure compliance with PPE usage.
