Become an integral part of our operations as a Distribution Center Associate in Sacramento, California! We are looking for energetic and reliable individuals to handle a wide range of tasks within our state-of-the-art distribution facility. Your role will be critical in ensuring the efficient flow of goods, from receiving inventory to preparing orders for shipment to our valued customers. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing sector of the Logistics industry, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, efficiency, and above all, Safety .
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment using RF scanners and order pick lists.
- Sort and place received goods into appropriate storage locations within the distribution center.
- Operate various warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks, order pickers, and potentially forklifts (training may be provided).
- Conduct inventory counts and assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company housekeeping standards.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or operational issues to supervisors immediately.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to the use of PPE .
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and meet performance metrics.
- Contribute to a positive and productive work atmosphere.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or Logistics role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform physical activities, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, and performing frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to Safety and a willingness to follow all safety guidelines.
- Must be able to wear required PPE , such as safety shoes and vests.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
