Job Summary:
Our fast-paced distribution center in Durham, North Carolina, is looking for a motivated and efficient Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team. The Shipping Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of orders to our customers. This position involves processing shipping orders, preparing documentation, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining a clean and organized shipping area. You will be an integral part of our supply chain, contributing to the smooth flow of goods and upholding our commitment to customer satisfaction. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are paramount for success in this role. You will work in an environment that values Safety and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately process and prepare shipping orders.
  • Generate shipping labels and necessary documentation (e.g., bills of lading).
  • Verify order accuracy and ensure correct items are packed.
  • Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records and files.
  • Operate shipping equipment such as pallet jacks and scanners.
  • Ensure the shipping dock is clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Must be capable of Lifting items up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Good communication skills.
