Are you an experienced Forklift Operator seeking a challenging opportunity in Boston, Massachusetts? We are looking for a certified and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will be essential for receiving, storing, and distributing goods. A deep understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management is crucial. You will work closely with our warehouse associates to ensure a smooth and organized workflow. Safety is our top priority, and adherence to all company safety policies and procedures is mandatory. This includes the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots. This position requires the ability to perform tasks that involve significant physical exertion, including lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds when not operating a forklift, and the safe stacking and retrieval of goods. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Move and stack inventory within the warehouse.
- Transport materials to and from production or shipping areas.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counts as needed.
- Participate in general warehouse duties, including occasional lifting.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Experience with PPE requirements in an industrial setting.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
