Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our warehouse team in Omaha, Nebraska. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our inventory data, playing a vital part in our overall logistics and supply chain management. Your responsibilities will include conducting cycle counts, performing regular inventory audits, investigating discrepancies, and implementing corrective actions to maintain optimal stock levels. You will utilize inventory management software and reporting tools to monitor stock movements and identify trends. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of warehouse operations and inventory control best practices. Safety is a priority, and you will ensure that all inventory management activities comply with safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires the ability to work independently, solve problems effectively, and collaborate with warehouse staff and management. Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a related logistics field is essential. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who can contribute to maintaining accurate inventory records and enhancing operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage and operate inventory control software and systems.
  • Ensure accuracy of receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping processes.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on inventory accuracy metrics.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to reduce inventory loss.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or logistics.
  • Proficiency with inventory management software (e.g., WMS, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) as needed.
  • Understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
