About
We are seeking an energetic Picker/Packer to join our warehouse operations in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is essential for the efficient processing of customer orders, ensuring accuracy from the picking stage through to final packing. You will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves based on order requirements and then meticulously packing these items to ensure they are safely transported to our customers. Success in this role requires a sharp eye for detail, speed, and a commitment to quality. You will work within our logistics framework, handling a variety of products. Safety is a paramount concern, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and possess the physical stamina required for frequent movement and moderate Lifting. Previous experience in a picking or packing role is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from inventory based on order specifications.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Select appropriate packaging materials for different types of shipments.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Prepare orders for dispatch to shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and surrounding area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics workflow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker or Packer is preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work at a steady pace in a fast-moving environment.
- Understanding of shipping and packing procedures is beneficial.
- Commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
