We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team in Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse. Your efficiency and attention to detail are critical to ensuring smooth operations and timely order fulfillment. This position requires physical capability and a strong understanding of warehouse Safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and delivery vehicles.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and stack materials to maximize space and ensure accessibility.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely movement of goods within the logistics chain.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to operational improvements.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is highly preferred.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical strength and stamina, with the ability to perform significant Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to wear required PPE, including safety shoes and vests.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
