About
Our distribution center in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking a motivated Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team. This role is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for picking products from inventory, verifying order details, and carefully packing items to prevent damage during transit. We are looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, efficient, and dedicated to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order requirements
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy
- Pack items securely and appropriately for shipment, using correct materials
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch
- Operate manual pallet jacks and hand trucks to move inventory as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse cleanliness
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Meet established picking and packing performance standards
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly
- Contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of our logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a similar warehouse role is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product information
- Capable of standing for extended periods and performing frequent bending, stooping, and occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety practices
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
