About
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Coordinator to oversee operations at our Tampa, Florida distribution center. This leadership role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, accuracy, and safety of our entire logistics workflow. You will be responsible for managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, supervising warehouse staff, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational and communication skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), and a proven track record in logistics coordination. You will play a key part in optimizing warehouse processes, maintaining accurate records, and fostering a productive and safe work environment. Your ability to lead a team, solve problems effectively, and maintain high operational standards will be essential. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Supervise and train warehouse staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Implement and enforce all safety procedures and policies, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors to manage inbound and outbound logistics.
- Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Address operational issues and discrepancies promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics management.
- Proven experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in coordinating logistics for a high-volume distribution center.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment is essential.
