We are looking for a dedicated Order Picker to join our energetic team in Richmond, Virginia! As an Order Picker, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently fulfilled. Your primary responsibility will be to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets. This position requires speed, accuracy, and a strong understanding of warehouse operations and Safety procedures. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders from warehouse shelves using scanning devices or pick lists.
- Verify picked items against order specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, preparing them for the shipping department.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors.
- Perform tasks involving lifting and moving items, employing correct lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
- Capability to perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
