Join our dynamic team as an Order Picker in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are seeking motivated individuals to accurately and efficiently pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer satisfaction by accurately fulfilling orders. This role involves navigating the warehouse, using scanning equipment, and maintaining productivity standards. Attention to detail is critical to ensure that the correct items are picked and that orders are packaged appropriately. Safety is a top priority, and all team members are expected to follow strict protocols and utilize appropriate PPE. We offer a competitive hourly wage and a supportive work environment. This position is key to our logistics and fulfillment process, contributing directly to the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders.
- Use handheld scanners and other equipment to track inventory and order progress.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Stage completed orders for loading onto delivery vehicles.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and order details.
- Proficiency with handheld scanning devices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks, up to 35 lbs.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
