Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order sheets or scanning devices.
- Verify product quantities and descriptions against order requirements.
- Package picked items securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory or damages to supervisors.
- Adhere to all company policies, particularly those concerning safety and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as assigned, including receiving and put-away.
- Contribute to team efforts to meet daily picking and shipping targets.
- Demonstrate a commitment to safe lifting practices and proper material handling.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order picking lists or use scanning technology.
- Capacity for sustained physical activity, including walking, bending, and lifting.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
