About
Join our fast-paced logistics team in Miami, Florida, as a Forklift Operator. We are searching for a certified and experienced individual to expertly maneuver forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy distribution center. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and supporting order fulfillment processes. A strong commitment to Safety is paramount, as you will be operating heavy machinery in a dynamic environment. Your precision and adherence to procedures will be crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and preventing accidents. This role is vital to the smooth functioning of our entire logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any defects or maintenance needs.
- Load and unload trailers accurately and efficiently.
- Transport materials from receiving to storage areas and from storage to shipping docks.
- Assist with inventory management, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and procedures, including site-specific traffic rules.
- Proper use and maintenance of required PPE are mandatory.
- Must be comfortable with Lifting items up to 50 lbs when necessary and able to perform various physical tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support the overall Logistics operations through timely and accurate material handling.
Candidates must possess a valid forklift certification and have a proven track record of safe operation. Experience with various types of forklifts and warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable.
