About
We are hiring a Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Fort Worth! In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing goods. Your attention to detail and organizational skills are key to ensuring that all incoming inventory is accounted for and properly stored. You will contribute to the overall efficiency of our warehouse operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders or packing slips.
- Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and document findings.
- Unload trucks using pallet jacks or other equipment as needed.
- Enter receiving data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately and promptly.
- Tag and label incoming inventory for proper storage and tracking.
- Move received goods to designated storage areas within the warehouse.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all company policies and Safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Understand and implement effective Logistics procedures.
- Be aware of potential hazards and promote a safe working environment.
- This role may involve some Lifting of packages.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Experience with WMS software is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
