About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our busy facility in Washington, D.C.! As a Picker/Packer, you will be a key player in our logistics chain, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Your main responsibilities will include using order pick lists or scanners to retrieve items from warehouse shelves, accurately packing them for shipment, and preparing them for transit. This role requires a strong focus on detail, speed, and accuracy. We are committed to your Safety and provide all necessary PPE, along with comprehensive Safety training. The job involves a significant amount of physical activity, including frequent Lifting and moving of products. Excellent adherence to Safety procedures is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Use scanning devices to track inventory movement.
- Inspect items for quality and damage before packing.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing productivity targets.
- Follow all Lifting guidelines to prevent injury.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a similar warehouse role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining quality.
- Good organizational skills.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety protocols.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
- Team player mentality.
