Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and certified Reach Truck Operator to join our advanced logistics facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating a reach truck to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. Your expertise in navigating narrow aisles and high racking systems will be essential for maintaining efficient inventory flow and storage. This position requires a strong commitment to Safety, precision in operation, and the ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting and maneuvering of materials. You will work closely with the warehouse management team to ensure optimal space utilization and contribute to the overall productivity and Safety of our operations. Precision and a keen eye for detail are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate a reach truck safely and efficiently to transport materials within the warehouse.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks and racking systems.
  • Accurately locate and retrieve items from high-level racking.
  • Perform put-away functions, ensuring items are placed in their designated locations.
  • Conduct routine checks on the reach truck to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain organized and safe work areas, adhering to all Safety protocols.
  • Assist with inventory counts and verification as needed.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including strict adherence to PPE requirements.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the warehouse logistics.
  • Handle and move items that require significant Lifting and careful placement.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience operating a reach truck in a warehouse environment.
  • Valid certification for operating a reach truck.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and practices.
  • Ability to work at heights and in narrow aisle environments.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting and material handling.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
