We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing, processing, and dispatching outgoing shipments. This role is crucial to ensuring timely and correct delivery of products to our customers, maintaining the integrity of our supply chain. You will work closely with various departments, including inventory and transportation, to coordinate efficient shipping operations.
Responsibilities:
- Verify shipping orders against inventory records to ensure accuracy.
- Package products securely and appropriately for transit, adhering to company and carrier guidelines.
- Operate shipping software and equipment to generate labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
- Schedule and coordinate with freight carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, ensuring all materials are properly stored.
- Monitor inventory levels of shipping supplies and reorder as needed.
- Conduct regular quality checks on outgoing shipments to prevent errors.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety protocols.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse role preferred.
- Proficiency in using computers and shipping software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring physical dexterity and moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Strong understanding of logistics operations and supply chain principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
