Our distribution center in Jacksonville, Florida, is seeking a motivated Distribution Center Associate to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and accurate flow of goods through our facility. You will engage in a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and all associates are required to follow established safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This physically demanding role requires the ability to perform frequent lifting and operate warehouse equipment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming inventory.
- Stock and organize products within the warehouse.
- Pick orders accurately based on customer requirements.
- Pack orders securely for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare orders for shipping, including labeling and documentation.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily goals.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics and supply chain.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
