We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to build and own our company-wide event streaming platform turning our existing real-time event monitoring system into a scalable, self-service infrastructure that engineering teams across the organisation can rely on. Your Role
Design and operate a company-wide event bus built on Kafka, evolving our existing real-time event monitoring system into a scalable, self-service platform Define and maintain all infrastructure as code using AWS CDK across ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with zero-downtime deployments and robust rollback capabilities Create self-service tooling and documentation so engineering teams can independently onboard to the platform Instrument the platform with Datadog, define SLOs, and build runbooks that make operations manageable at scale Embed security best practices from day one: IAM least-privilege, secrets management, and network segmentation Your Profile
3+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE Hands-on Kafka experience is a must consumer groups, topic design, partitioning strategies, and operational troubleshooting Strong AWS expertise across compute, networking, storage, security, and monitoring Proficient with Infrastructure as Code AWS CDK preferred, Terraform or CloudFormation also considered Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar) Comfortable with Docker, Python scripting, and Linux administration Kubernetes/EKS, Datadog, and FinOps experience are a plus In addition to our great team, culture, and our shared goal of empowering people with data, there are many other things that make Statista a great place to work!
