Position: Nursery Room Leader
Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday - Friday, All year round
Salary: £30,056 per annum
Welcome Bonus: £1,000

Your Role as Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will:

  • Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences tailored to children's age and development
  • Support the holistic development of children—physically, intellectually, socially, and emotionally
  • Assist staff in maintaining high-quality updates on the EyLog system and children's learning journals
  • Lead by example, promoting respect and credibility in your role
  • Implement an effective key person approach to foster secure attachments
  • Maintain accurate records related to children and staff on the EyMan system
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor
  • Understand and meet the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
  • Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years - Essential
  • Over 6 months’ experience in a senior position - Desirable
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations for achieving a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable
  • Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
  • Fluency in written and spoken English - Essential
