About

The St-Patrick private seniors' residence, located near Cartier Street, is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager. Working with the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe, functional, and welcoming living environment for our residents and staff. Your autonomy, versatility, and organizational skills will allow you to make a tangible contribution to the smooth daily operation of the residence. The Maintenance Manager performs minor maintenance tasks; CCQ certification is not required!


POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime hours
Salary: Starting at $27 per hour


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Actively participate in the life of the residence
  • Adapt the facilities according to the seasons
  • Be available to respond to emergencies
  • Collaborating closely with management and internal teams
  • Conduct regular inspections and ensure necessary follow-up.
  • Maintaining common areas and facilities
  • Make the necessary purchases for maintenance
  • Perform any other related tasks associated with the maintenance service.
  • Perform general maintenance on the residence
  • Perform minor repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electricity and painting
  • Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of equipment
  • Strictly adhere to health and safety standards
  • To provide courteous and respectful customer service

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A DEP in general builing maintenance (as asset)
  • Relevant experience in the field
  • Good condition and physical endurance
  • Experience in personnel management
