FT Partners is a successful boutique investment bank on Wall Street, known for advising on significant transactions in the Financial Technology sector. They are seeking a Data Analytics Summer Analyst to analyze complex datasets, support investment theses, and validate financial KPIs while gaining hands-on experience with financial analysis tools.
Responsibilities : • Work closely with investment bankers and clients to understand business drivers and data structures • Analyze large financial datasets to develop data-led narratives driving company growth and performance • Lead core financial workstreams including cohort analysis, retention analysis, unit economics analysis, sales efficiency analysis, and other growth initiatives validation • Build data visualizations, models, and reporting to communicate key findings to clients and investors
Qualifications : Required : • Graduation date between December 2026 – June 2027 • Minimum 3.6 GPA required • Major in Finance, Data Science, Analytics, Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, or other quantitative major required • Experience with SQL, Python, R, PowerPivot, Tableau, or Alteryx required • Permanent U.S. work authorization required. FT Partners will not sponsor applicants for work visas at application or in the future. • Strong proficiency in Excel • Foundational data analytics and financial analysis skills • Strong understanding of core accounting & finance concepts • Excellent problem-solving ability and intellectual curiosity • Ability to work with large datasets and complex analytical problems • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical tools and analytical techniques • Strong writing and verbal communication skills • Ability to articulate methods and results of complex analyses • Ability to manage multiple high priority tasks and initiatives • Prepares high impact materials • Participates effectively in both internal and external meetings • Able to collaborate across teams and levels, both internally and externally • Builds trust in relationships with all team members • High-level of engagement and commitment to the firms goals and organizational success • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
