Role description
We are seeking an experienced Information Security Associate to join our Security Operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events while ensuring the protection of our organization's information assets.
Security Monitoring & Analysis Perform 24/7 monitoring of networks, systems, and security alerts Execute L2 analysis of security events and incidents Manage log collection, storage, and retention processes Conduct analysis and correlation of security data Handle escalations from L1 analysts Incident Response
Execute predefined incident response playbooks Perform threat detection and continuous security monitoring Create and manage security incident tickets Conduct first-level incident classification Manage and triage security alerts Escalate suspicious activities to L3 analysts when necessary Process Improvement & Documentation
Perform root cause analysis of security incidents Implement security improvements based on findings Create and update security playbooks Coordinate with cross-functional IT teams Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures Generate and maintain security metrics reports Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Security Operations or related field Demonstrated experience in L2 security analysis and incident response Strong background in log analysis and SIEM technologies Required Skills
Strong understanding of security tools and SIEM platforms Experience with log analysis and correlation Knowledge of common attack vectors and threat detection Familiarity with incident response procedures Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications
Security certifications (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CEH) Experience with common security tools and technologies Knowledge of compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS) Working Conditions
Must be able to work rotating shifts as part of 24/7 coverage May require on-call availability Must be able to respond to critical incidents outside normal business hours Nomura Competencies

*base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience.
