About
We are looking for a dynamic Warehouse Coordinator in Richmond, Virginia, to oversee and manage daily warehouse operations. This key role involves supervising staff, optimizing inventory management, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse processes, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of Safety and efficiency. You will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing stock levels, and implementing best practices to improve productivity. This position requires excellent organizational abilities and problem-solving skills. We expect all team members, including leadership, to champion Safety and ensure compliance with all regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse staff.
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure all orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Implement and enforce strict Safety policies and procedures.
- Train staff on proper equipment operation and Safety best practices.
- Manage dock schedules and coordinate with shipping carriers.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Maintain accurate warehouse records and documentation.
- While primarily supervisory, may need to assist with occasional Lifting, up to 30 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or a supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Excellent understanding of Safety regulations and best practices in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to develop and implement operational improvements.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions.
