About
We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our Sacramento, California warehouse. This is a crucial role within our logistics department, directly contributing to the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving products from warehouse shelves, meticulously packing items for shipment, and preparing orders for dispatch. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of urgency, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding high standards of quality and safety. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be expected to adhere to all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The role involves regular physical activity, including significant Lifting, and requires a proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items based on order lists and scanning equipment.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or damage.
- Pack items securely using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Label packages with correct shipping information.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse workspace.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Communicate any order or inventory issues to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking/packing or warehouse role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Capacity to work at a steady pace in a fast-moving environment.
- Must wear required PPE at all times.
