We are seeking a diligent and efficient Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and packing customer orders, ensuring that all items are accounted for and packaged securely for shipment. This is a crucial position within our warehouse operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work in a fast-paced environment, often with deadlines to meet, requiring a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Your primary duties will include using handheld scanners to locate products, picking items from shelves, verifying product accuracy, and preparing them for the packing station. Once picked, you will then package items using appropriate materials, ensuring they are protected during transit. Adherence to safety protocols is paramount, and you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work area. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. We provide all necessary training and equipment, including personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure your safety and success. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to quality and efficiency in their work.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pack orders using a scanner and order sheets.
- Verify product information against orders to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely for shipping, using appropriate materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety guidelines and procedures, including proper lifting techniques.
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Awareness of and adherence to safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
