We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Madison, Wisconsin. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Your primary responsibility will be to locate, pick, and stage items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will work closely with other warehouse personnel to ensure smooth operations and timely dispatch of goods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from shelves based on pick tickets or electronic devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Stage picked items in designated areas for packing and shipping.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Perform tasks involving significant Lifting, up to 50 lbs, repetitively throughout the shift.
- Ensure all activities are conducted with a focus on Safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics operations.
