About
We are hiring a Shipping Clerk in Boise, Idaho to manage and coordinate the outbound shipment of goods. This critical role ensures that all products are processed, documented, and shipped accurately and on schedule. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, verifying order details, and coordinating with carriers to arrange pickups. A strong understanding of shipping procedures and logistics is essential. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team and contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain. We emphasize Safety and provide comprehensive training on our procedures and the correct use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and print shipping labels using various shipping software.
- Verify accuracy of orders before shipment.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant departments.
- Maintain shipping logs and records of all outgoing shipments.
- Ensure packages are properly packaged and labeled according to carrier regulations.
- Communicate with customers regarding shipping inquiries.
- Follow all Safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar shipping role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer skills.
- Knowledge of shipping carrier requirements and logistics.
- Ability to handle moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs) when necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to Safety and compliance.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
