Portland, Oregon is seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our expanding logistics operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials within our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing materials, tools, and products. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining an organized and safe work environment. You'll be working closely with the production and shipping departments, ensuring that materials are available when and where they are needed. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials against shipping documents.
- Store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper rotation.
- Pick and deliver materials to various departments as requested.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all materials are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all Safety procedures and wear the necessary PPE.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control.
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
