Join our growing logistics team as an Order Picker in Indianapolis, Indiana! This position is key to ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our warehouse shelves based on customer orders, using scanning technology to track inventory, and preparing items for packing and shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency directly impact customer satisfaction. You will work within a structured warehouse environment, navigating aisles and retrieving products using provided equipment. We place a strong emphasis on safety, and all employees are required to follow established safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and capable of performing tasks that require physical movement and moderate Lifting. Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is beneficial but not required, as comprehensive training will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order slips.
- Utilize RF scanners to locate inventory and confirm picks.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to designated staging or packing areas.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment responsibly.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
- Contribute to overall warehouse productivity and efficiency in logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in order picking or warehouse work is a plus.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Basic reading and math skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanning devices is advantageous.
- Strong focus on accuracy and detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic warehouse setting.
- Commitment to safety and the use of PPE.
- Team player with good communication abilities.
