About
We are looking for a skilled Material Handler to join our warehouse operations in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. Your duties will include operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to ensure the smooth flow of goods throughout the facility. This position is crucial for maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting order fulfillment processes within our logistics network. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. You must be able to perform moderate to heavy Lifting and be proficient in operating various types of warehouse machinery. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. Training on specific equipment and procedures will be provided, but prior experience operating forklifts and other machinery is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other powered industrial trucks to transport materials.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, or shipping areas.
- Stack and unstack materials using appropriate equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of material handling equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock taking.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Identify and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and productivity of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Good physical condition and stamina.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills.
