We are recruiting an Order Picker for our busy distribution center located in Houston, Texas. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role requires precision, speed, and a strong commitment to safety within our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on customer order details
- Use RF scanners and other technology to locate and verify products
- Ensure correct product and quantity selection to minimize errors
- Place picked items into appropriate containers for packing and shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and products are stored correctly
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established picking rates and performance standards
- Report any inventory discrepancies or issues with products to a supervisor
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient order fulfillment and smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and order details
- Capability of frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
