We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our dynamic warehouse team in Orlando, Florida. This role is essential for the efficient flow of goods within our logistics facility. Your primary duties will involve receiving, stocking, and distributing materials, as well as operating forklifts and other heavy machinery. A strong commitment to safety is paramount, and you will be required to adhere to all company safety protocols and consistently wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate is physically fit, capable of lifting heavy items, and possesses experience with various material handling equipment. This position plays a crucial part in our supply chain operations, ensuring that materials are managed accurately and safely. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with team members to achieve operational goals. Your role directly contributes to the success of our logistics network.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments of materials.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Stock inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing shipments.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE, and report any unsafe conditions.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented logistics environment.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential.
