Job Summary:
Are you detail-oriented and organized? We are looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This critical role ensures the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing process improvements to optimize inventory management. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control systems is essential. You will work closely with other departments to ensure that inventory data is accurate and reflects physical stock. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all company protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and report on low stock or overstock situations.
  • Identify and report damaged or obsolete inventory.
  • Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and use of appropriate PPE.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in inventory control or a related warehouse role.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and inventory management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 40 lbs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and best practices.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
