We are looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods within our facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials, and managing inventory placement. A strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence is essential. We provide all necessary PPE and expect strict adherence to all Safety protocols and operating procedures. This position requires proficiency in forklift operation and awareness of warehouse Safety regulations. Occasional Lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload freight from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Stack and retrieve inventory using forklifts.
- Perform pre-operation checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Assist with inventory counts and location verification.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Wear and utilize all assigned PPE correctly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all Lifting and material handling Safety guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Demonstrable experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards for forklift operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of logistics operations.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
