Join our growing logistics team as a Material Handler in Omaha, Nebraska! We are looking for a dependable and energetic individual to manage the flow of materials throughout our warehouse. This role is fundamental to our supply chain operations, ensuring that raw materials and finished goods are moved accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for using various equipment to transport items, keeping the workspace organized, and assisting with inventory control. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, understands the importance of safety in a warehouse setting, and is eager to learn. Your duties will include receiving, stocking, and distributing materials, as well as breaking down shipments and preparing them for further processing. A key aspect of this job is maintaining an organized and clean environment to facilitate smooth operations and prevent hazards. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to our strict safety protocols. This position involves frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 40 lbs and prolonged periods of standing and walking. Experience with hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other manual lifting devices is required. Familiarity with warehouse logistics and inventory management systems is a plus. Responsibilities:
- Move materials, equipment, and supplies within the warehouse using appropriate devices.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Stock materials in designated locations.
- Break down shipments and prepare materials for production or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist with stock counts.
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Assist other departments with material needs.
- Support general warehouse operations and logistics as directed.
