Join our dedicated team in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a Shipping Clerk. In this essential role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately prepared, documented, and dispatched efficiently. Your duties will include selecting and packing orders, verifying shipment details, creating shipping labels, and coordinating with carriers for pickup. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, organizational skills, and a strong commitment to Safety and accuracy. You will play a key role in the logistics process, ensuring that our products reach our customers on time and in perfect condition. Your contribution is vital to maintaining customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and stage orders for shipment.
- Verify order details against shipping manifests and documentation.
- Generate and apply shipping labels and any necessary customs documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate with shipping carriers for timely pickups.
- Inspect outgoing packages to ensure they are properly sealed and secured.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding shipping status.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock organization as needed.
- Perform tasks that may involve moderate Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and generating labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Ability to perform tasks including moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with various shipping carriers and methods is a plus.
