Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and organized Shipping & Receiving Associate for our busy facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial for managing the flow of goods in and out of our warehouse, ensuring efficient *Logistics* and inventory accuracy. You will be responsible for receiving incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, stocking items, preparing outgoing shipments, and coordinating with carriers. The ability to handle significant *Lifting* (up to 60 pounds) and operate pallet jacks is necessary. A strong commitment to *Safety* is paramount; you must adhere to all established *Safety* protocols and consistently use the required *PPE*. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments.
  • Verify incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery receipts.
  • Stock materials in designated warehouse locations accurately.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct cycle counts.
  • Ensure the dock area is clean, organized, and safe.
  • Adhere to all *Safety* procedures and wear appropriate *PPE*.
  • Operate forklifts and pallet jacks as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in Shipping & Receiving or warehouse operations.
  • Ability to perform heavy *Lifting* (up to 60 lbs) and physical tasks.
  • Familiarity with warehouse *Logistics* and inventory control.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace *Safety* and proper use of *PPE*.
  • Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
