Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for accuracy? Our growing logistics company in Washington, D.C. is looking for an Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our inventory through diligent tracking, regular cycle counts, and discrepancy resolution. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure all stock is accounted for, properly stored, and accurately represented in our inventory management system. A keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills are essential for success in this position. You will be instrumental in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and reduce losses. This role involves working within a busy warehouse environment and requires a commitment to safety, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While not solely a physical role, some Lifting of items up to 30 lbs may be required during audits or investigations. You will be a key player in our Logistics operations, ensuring that our products are available when and where they are needed. - Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records in the WMS.
- Identifying root causes of inventory inaccuracies and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensuring proper organization and storage of all inventory items.
- Collaborating with receiving, shipping, and operations teams.
- Implementing and enforcing company policies related to inventory control and Safety.
- Utilizing technology such as scanners and inventory software.
- Assisting with stock adjustments and transfers.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in Logistics and inventory management.
- Understanding and adhering to all Lifting restrictions and guidelines.
- Ensuring correct use of PPE at all times.
