We are looking for a highly skilled professional who is passionate about transforming raw data into insightful, actionable outcomes. In this pivotal role, you will design, build, and maintain feature engineering pipelines that drive our predictive and descriptive data science projects. Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for analytics use cases. Create valuable data assets from structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity in all created data assets. Automate end-to-end data pipelines for improved efficiency. Engage in data modeling and design effective schemas. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and data scientists to understand data needs and business processes. Work with Analysts, Stakeholders, and Data Scientists to deliver optimal data solutions. Identify the right data sources for various use cases with cross-functional teams. Conduct data discovery and analysis across diverse data sources. Craft compelling narratives from data aligning with audience needs. Develop and maintain a Data Dictionary for effective data management. Participate in code reviews and documentation to uphold high standards of quality. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years experience in Data/Feature/ML Engineering or similar roles. Strong understanding of engineering principles and software development best practices. Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark, and bash scripting. Familiarity with Databricks is a plus. Experience designing and developing ETL/ELT processes. Experience with data warehouses. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication skills for collaboration across teams. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the insurance industry. Background in working with Data Science teams. Experience creating point-in-time data assets. Familiarity with Databricks Workflows. Experience with AWS Tools and Services. The role requires working three days a week at a Guardian office in Bethlehem, PA or New York, NY. Salary Range:
