About
The Network Engineer will play a key role within the Netrio Engineering team, serving as a technical expert for the design, implementation, and support of advanced network solutions. This position requires strong hands-on experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco/Meraki technologies, as well as the ability to collaborate with both technical teams and executive stakeholders (including C-level leadership). The ideal candidate is a problem-solver, mentor, and trusted advisor capable of delivering secure, scalable, and reliable networking environments for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, and implement secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions leveraging Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco/Meraki platforms. Serve as an escalation point for advanced network issues escalated from Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Support. Provide expert troubleshooting and remediation across diverse environments, including firewalls, VPNs, SD-WAN, switching, and wireless networks. Conduct network assessments, capacity planning, and performance tuning to optimize client environments. Develop, document, and maintain network architecture diagrams, design standards, and implementation plans. Partner with project managers and client stakeholders to deliver solutions, including presenting technical strategies to executive and C-Suite audiences. Participate in the on-call rotation and provide timely response to critical incidents. Mentor and support junior engineers while promoting internal knowledge sharing and best practices. Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering, ideally within an MSP or service provider environment. Strong expertise with: Fortinet:

Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Panorama, Prisma, Strata Cisco/Meraki:
ASA, ASR, MX, MR, MS
Proven experience designing and deploying secure network solutions for SMB and mid-market enterprise clients. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and firewall technologies. Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking (Azure, AWS), and multi-site deployments. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly resolve high-impact issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value. Comfortable engaging and presenting to C-level executives and senior stakeholders. Industry certifications strongly preferred:
