Software Engineer 2 (m/f/d) - Temporary
Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Duration: August 7, 2025 – May 15, 2026
We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our team in Zurich on a temporary basis. In this role, you'll make significant, largely independent technical contributions to our projects, taking ownership of end-to-end tasks with minimal oversight. If you're a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in software development and a keen eye for system health and scalability, we encourage you to apply.
Your Responsibilities:Development & Operations: Write product or system development code with minimal assistance. Conduct comprehensive testing (integration, performance, stress, security, load, fuzz) and design testable code. Contribute to qualification, end-user documentation, production deployment/monitoring, process automation, and customer support.
System Health & Improvement: Set up or enhance test, monitoring, and survey infrastructure/processes. Prioritize code health and system maintainability/scalability. Triage, debug, track, and resolve product or system issues by analyzing their source and impact. Identify and address technical debt to improve long-term system integrity.
Collaboration & Review: Review code from other engineers, providing feedback to ensure best practices (style, accuracy, testability, efficiency). Contribute to existing documentation and educational content, adapting it based on product updates and user feedback.
2 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, OR 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms.
1 year of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
1 year of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio technologies, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or a specialization in another ML field.
Proficiency in: Data structures and algorithms, Debugging, diagnosis and resolution, Test engineering, Programming, Code and system health, Code comprehension.
Developing proficiency in: Systems thinking, Architecture knowledge, Data analysis and synthesis, SWE system design.
