ABOUT THE ROLE
Candidate will support assigned service calls for 5-6 retail stores within a geographical area. Will be responsible for troubleshooting repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial RTUs and split systems as well as general maintenance related to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, flooring, roofing, etc. Company vehicle, gas card, tools, IPad, and IPhone will be provided.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes' maintenance and repairs, records as required.
Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies to finish the tasks. Uses CMMS to manage work orders and track completion.
Leads troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: HVAC, plumbing systems, roofs, drains.
Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety laws.
Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.
Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.
Maintains the building lighting system, including element and ballast repairs or replacements.
Performs furniture assembly and locksmith tasks as needed.
Responds quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
Report and communicate daily all work activity via PDA device
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or trade school training.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record with periodic checks
Possess necessary skills to functionally operate a "full size" van/truck
Universal CFC or EPA certification preferred.
Excellent social skills, including oral and written communications
Uses computer and / or PDA for work order system, email, and training.

What You'll Need:
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Journeyman or EPA Universal License required.
Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

The minimum salary for the Union Operating Engineer position is $26 per hour and the maximum salary is $30 per hour.
