As a QA Test Engineer within the technical delivery team, this role is involved in detailed testing of complex, real-world systems that create and process transactions for toll systems. These systems handle high throughput, maintain high availability, and are responsible for processing millions of microtransactions per day. Our tolling systems are recognized as the most accurate in the world. This role is responsible for the successful planning and execution of formal project testing during the delivery of tolling solutions. This role is also responsible for supporting the acquisition of new business. This is done through participation in the proposal process, contributing directly and indirectly to technical responses. Successful employees in this role demonstrate extensive test documentation and execution capability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Plan and execute formal tests as part of large-scale toll system projects. - Create test plans, test cases, and test reports and manage updates in response to customer feedback. - Manage the traceability of requirements to test plans, test cases, defects, and remediation tickets in Jira. - Be obsessed with controlling system quality by identifying issues and tracking resolutions. - Be obsessed with our clients' and customers' success. Required skills & experience: - Undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or related field - 2+ years' experience with planning formal tests, creating test documentation, executing tests, and drafting test reports. - Ability to plan and perform data analyses on large data sets. - Ability to translate complex project requirements into test plans. - Ability to identify and select tools and software required for effective testing. - Superior English writing and communication skills - Proficiency using Office 365 Products. Additional beneficial skills & experience: - Experience with transactional or tolling systems is strongly preferred. - Experience working in cloud environments with high levels of automation. - Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL DEMANDS: To successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employee must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer. Employee must also possess the ability to work at roadside locations when performing overseeing or performing the execution of formal tests. If work is performed in the office, it is in an air-conditioned building. Moderate noise level due to light traffic, computers, printers, fax/copy machines. Limited exposure to roadside environments can be expected, during which time increased noise levels from traffic will be experienced and more thorough safety protocols and protective equipment will be used
