SR. APPLICATIONS SYSTEM DEVELOPER.

The Sr. Applications Systems Developer will be responsible for the entire life cycle of applications systems which include analysis, coding, testing, support and documentation of major production systems that are supported 24/7. Candidate must be customer service driven with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and with all levels of management and staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibility is to identify functionalities in existing systems and develop and implement solutions to business opportunities.
Define user system and application requirements, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and design application programs to meet these requirements.
Reviews, analyzes, modifies and implements programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and documenting programs.
Provide technical support to end users by diagnosing and resolving software and system issues in real time as they occur.
Database analysis and development.
Structure, implement, and maintain database systems. Establish policies, standards and procedures to ensure useful and readily accessible data.
Design database systems and programs.
Analyze data requirements, develop and document data dictionary, and develop data models.
Design, develop, and maintain custom reports, dashboards, interfaces, and data extracts to support business, operational, and management reporting needs.
Training of the user community upon implementation of systems and programs.
Other projects as assigned by the Director of Application Development and VP of IT.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires at least 10 yrs. professional experience and training in information technology and computer programming to the analysis, design, modification, and maintenance of application programs, integrated systems, and/or software solutions within manufacturing environments.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with QAD required; experience with additional ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with SQL development, including writing, optimizing, and maintaining complex queries, stored procedures, views, and reports.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Progress development tools and Microsoft SQL database tools and techniques required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows server operating systems required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar discipline.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Comprehensive, enterprise-level understanding of Information Systems best practices, including performance optimization, interface architecture, integration management, and information security strategy.
Strong SQL, Linux, Windows, Progress and data analysis skills with the ability to translate business requirements into effective custom solutions.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects, tasks and priorities at once.
The technical and business background to assess business situations or circumstances in order to make appropriate business related decisions.
Independent critical thinker with a high degree of creativity, flexibility and strong desire to solve problems.
Project management experience, including coordinating timelines, resources, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Experience supporting application systems within manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environments.
Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies.
Familiarity with ERP, MES, and related enterprise platforms, including:
QAD ERP Software
Royal4 WMS Software
Prophix Software
Adobe Workfront Work Management Software
RedZone Connected Workforce Software
Exceedra Trade Promotion Management Software
Experience with integration, automation, BI or workflow tools such as:
Microsoft Power Automate
CLEO Integration Platform

The Jel Sert Company is committed to pay transparency and will provide further compensation information during the interview process. The minimum compensation for the Sr. Applications System Developer is $130,274. Compensation is determined by a candidate's experience, education, skills, training, and the internal equity within our organization. Actual compensation to be paid will be determined upon an offer.
