Agiliko is looking for a technical Project Manager with experience managing a data analytics and management team to join its team of professionals to provide expertise and technical support to our favorite, long-term Federal government client in Old Town Alexandria, VA (near King Street Metro Station). The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing complex data projects, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of data warehouse operations. This role involves managing project schedules, coordinating across teams, and ensuring successful project delivery while maintaining strong relationships with clients and team members. This team manages the client’s enterprise data warehouse, data marts and business intelligence reporting services. Below is a sampling of the Project Manager duties, responsibilities and requirements:
*Responsibilities:*
_*While the primary duty for this role will be a Project Manager, you will need to have strong project management and business analysis skills within a data warehouse/data mart environment. This role includes the following activities:*_
· Meet with stakeholders to understand their analytic needs and manage the design and development of data marts and reports to fulfill those needs
· Coordinate data mart development with the enterprise data warehouse team
· Manage the enterprise, self-service BI reporting support services
· Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals
· Build and maintain multiple project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
· Manage project risks effectively and communicate them to clients with mitigation strategies
· Oversee sprint planning and execution, ensuring alignment with project objectives
· Communicate and coordinate effectively across other teams
· Ensure project documentation and reporting are maintained and up to date
· Utilize Microsoft Project to track project progress and manage resources
*Skills/Experience Required:*
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing enterprise data analytics to include data warehouses, data marts and BI tools for a Federal Agency. Required skills include:
· 7 years of experience in technical project management
· 1 + year of experience leading a data reporting or data analytics team
· Strong leadership and team-building skills.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to effectively understand business requirements, translate to an analytic design, and communicate requirements to a technical team
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
· Proficient with MS Office Suite
· Must be good at building and maintaining relationships with clients and employees
· Must be detail oriented, flexible, and organized
*Preferred Knowledge and Skills:*
· Strong knowledge of data warehouse operations, including databases, ETL processes, and Power BI tools
· Strong data analytics experience with Power BI service or similar technology; certification preferred
· Experience with Microsoft Azure tools, including SQL Server, Synapse, and Data Fabric
· Experience implementing data governance processes and ensuring data quality
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Education/Certification Requirements:*
· Bachelor’s degree with preferred study in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering or related field.
· PMP certification
*Other Requirements:*
· This position is currently remote but may eventually be hybrid remote/onsite (1-2 days on the client site per week) in Old Town Alexandria, VA, close to the King Street Metro Station.
