Senior Mobile Application Developer - TAK/ATAK Integration Job Summary
We are seeking a
Senior Mobile Application Developer
to design, develop, and integrate mission-critical mobile applications for
iOS and Android platforms . This role will focus on delivering a
Proof of Concept (POC) TAK Server implementation
and integrating it with a
Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD)
system to enable real-time incident visibility, unit status, and location tracking within
ATAK (Android)
and
TAKAware (iOS)
applications.
The successful candidate will have strong experience in
secure mobile application development ,
real-time data integrations , and
CJIS-compliant environments , including
Okta authentication .
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain a
TAK Server
within a secure county network environment Integrate TAK Server with
ATAK (Android)
and
TAKAware (iOS)
applications Integrate TAK Server with the
CLEMIS CAD system
to provide real-time incident data, unit status, and location updates Implement and manage
Okta-based secure authentication
for mobile users Ensure all mobile connections meet
security, reliability, and CJIS compliance standards Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance mobile application performance Collaborate with internal teams in an
Agile/Scrum development environment Deliver a complete and functional
POC within the 3-month contract period Required Qualifications
iOS Development:
Swift, Objective-C, Xcode Android Development:
Kotlin, Java, Android Studio Hands-on experience with
TAK Server, ATAK, and TAKAware Experience integrating mobile applications using
REST APIs
and
JSON Strong understanding of
CJIS compliance
and secure mobile app development Experience implementing
Okta authentication Proficiency with
Git version control
and Agile development practices Experience with mobile testing frameworks (e.g.,
Appium, Espresso ) Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cross-platform frameworks such as
React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin Mobile
UI/UX design
experience Experience with app analytics and crash reporting tools (e.g.,
Firebase, Crashlytics ) Prior
CAD system integration
experience Background in
GIS, mapping, and real-time location services Ideal Candidate Profile
Senior-level mobile developer with experience supporting
mission-critical public safety or government systems Strong expertise in
secure authentication ,
real-time data streaming , and
location-based applications Proven ability to deliver a
POC quickly and efficiently
in a contract-based engagement Additional Information
Must be available to
start on February 9, 2026 Hybrid work schedule requires
on-site presence in Waterford, MI two days per week
