Overview GovCIO is excited to invite you to apply for the Junior Network Engineer (Edge Operations) role, where you will play a key role in our NIH/CIT proposal. This position offers flexible remote/hybrid work options, allowing you to effectively balance your professional and personal commitments. Responsibilities Ensure the reliability and performance of network routing, switching, IP security, and wide area network services.
Participate in daily stand-up meetings and utilize kanban methodology to manage and resolve incidents in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Work under the guidance of senior engineers, taking on shift lead duties to oversee escalated issues and ensure timely resolutions to maintain SLAs.
Engage in proactive network monitoring, analysis, maintenance, patching, and comprehensive documentation.
Provide recommendations to management regarding enhancements in communications, customer understanding, tools, technology, and equipment.
Qualifications At least a Bachelor's degree, accompanied by 2-5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent level of expertise. Required Skills and Experience A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Network Services.
Demonstrated proficiency in managing network routing, switching, IP security, and wide area network services.
Clearance Required:
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain NIH/CIT Public Trust. Preferred Skills and Experience CCNA or CCNP certification is desirable.
Experience in network security is a plus.
