Applications Developer
with expertise in C#, ASP.NET, Azure cloud services, and Azure DevOps to support one of our Fortune 100 technology leader clients. In this role, you will help design and deliver scalable enterprise applications and cloud solutions that support critical device operations, supply chain systems, and engineering workflows within a Microsoft-based technology environment.
Top Required Skills (Must Haves):
C # and ASP.NET development (5+ years)
- Build and maintain enterprise web applications, APIs, and backend services using the .NET framework within a Windows-based development environment. Azure cloud services and infrastructure (5+ years)
- Deploy and manage applications using Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Event Grid, Azure SQL, storage accounts, Key Vault, and Azure identity solutions. SQL and data platform expertise (5+ years)
- Design data models, optimize SQL queries, and support application data needs using SQL Server and data warehouse technologies. Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Manage development workflows using Azure DevOps boards and implement automated CI/CD pipelines using YAML to support modern DevOps practices.
Opportunity Overview:
This role supports an engineering team within a globally recognized devices and operating systems organization responsible for delivering innovative hardware and software experiences. Working within a Microsoft engineering environment that leverages Azure cloud services, Azure DevOps, and modern Windows-based development platforms, you will help build and maintain applications that support device supply chain operations and engineering systems behind globally recognized products like Surface and Xbox.
The systems developed in this role support large-scale enterprise processes across product engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer to contribute to complex cloud-based systems while collaborating with engineering and business teams in a fast-paced environment.
How you will make an impact: Participate in daily agile standups and sprint planning sessions with engineering teams. Review Azure DevOps boards and manage development work items and priorities. Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical design specifications. Design, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise applications and services. Work within Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage work items, track sprint progress, and support CI/CD pipelines. Conduct peer code reviews and participate in architecture and design discussions. Write and execute test cases to validate code and ensure high-quality releases. Identify, log, and resolve bugs and performance issues across systems. Monitor application performance and system capacity, designing scale solutions as needed. Evaluate requests for new features and determine feasibility, cost, and implementation timelines. Prepare technical documentation including architecture diagrams, system designs, and operational guidance. Utilize AI-assisted development tools to improve code quality, test generation, and development throughput. Participate in knowledge transfer sessions to understand business processes and system architecture. The expertise you bring:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of experience developing enterprise applications. Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET, and Windows-based development technologies. Experience designing and deploying large-scale enterprise software solutions. Experience working within agile development environments and iterative SDLC processes. Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and YAML. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex system issues. Experience with Azure infrastructure including app services, AKS, storage, Event Grid, Azure SQL, and identity services such as AAD/Entra. Experience with system architecture, monitoring, and scalability design. Ability to collaborate with project managers and business teams to clarify technical requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. What makes a candidate highly successful in this role:
Strong full-stack development experience within a Windows and Azure ecosystem. Proven ability to design high-availability cloud-based systems and distributed applications. Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Ability to independently troubleshoot complex technical issues and improve system performance. Experience working on enterprise systems supporting large-scale operational environments. Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across engineering and business teams. Experience with ARM templates, React.js, or Angular.js is beneficial.
